No accounts, no passwords
Dream Festival Creator does not have user accounts, sign-in, or password authentication. When you first visit, your browser is given a random anonymous identifier stored in your device's local storage. This identifier is used only to track your own streak, past festivals, and badges within this app - it is not linked to your name, email address, or any other real-world identity, and we have no way to determine who you are from it.
What we store
The lineups, scores, and settings you create are stored in our database, associated only with the anonymous identifier above. Anyone with a link to a shared festival or result page can view it - that is the intended purpose of the "Share" feature.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. which pages are visited, which game mode is played, and general usage patterns). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. We do not use this data to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using a browser extension such as Google's official opt-out add-on, or by using your browser's tracking-protection or ad-blocking settings.
Spotify links and embeds
Some pages include links and embedded players from Spotify so you can listen to an artist's music. When you interact with an embedded Spotify player or click through to Spotify, you leave our site and Spotify's own privacy policy and terms apply to that interaction - we do not control or receive data from Spotify about your listening activity.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Your choices
Since your identifier lives only in your browser's local storage, you can reset your history at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain - this permanently disconnects you from any past streaks, badges, or saved festivals tied to that identifier.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
